Last week, Trisha visited Chicago for her birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!). We were together again!
We biked down the lakefront and stopped by the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
Coco and Oma got to be together, too, outside of the garage for once.
While there, we enjoyed a high-quality exhibit, called Bikes! The Green Revolution, that happens to be at the Nature Museum until September 9.
There was a display of cool vintage bikes.
Art work with the theme “bike monsters.”
Photo ops with a penny-farthing, which we were all over once the children got out of our way.
And a photo exhibit of modern cycling style, featuring portraits by Bike Fancy’s Martha Williams. (Look, there’s me!)
Next, we stopped by the butterfly house, but the many fluttering things disconcerted Trisha a bit too much.
So we rested a bit. :)
We finished our visit in the gardens, a lovely respite from the city.
Where we listened to highly entertaining bird calls in the bird sanctuary.
So you’re a museum piece now, eh Dottie? Nice to see you and Trisha looking so well, Chicago was lucky to have two beautiful cyclists on its roads. The museum, gardens, and bird sanctuary look great as well. Cheers.
Happy Birthday, Trisha! Cool bike exhibit.
I want to go back already. Minus the butterfly room. That shit was crazy. ;-)
Aw~ a reunion plus a bike ride together! Looks like you guys had a lovely time together :)
Happy Belated Birthday Trisha!

Happy Belated Birthday Trisha!
I just get a little giddy when I see a post with both of you together. Happy Birthday, Trisha!
Fun! I just have to say, that photo of Trisha…stunning. What a great shot of a beautiful lady. Nice camera work too! Happy Birthday!!
I thought the very same thing but was shy to say it first. Absolutely a gorgeous shot.
Trisha and Dotty are both stunning – it can’t just be the photography! :)

I’m amused that Dottie is wearing a tiny little jean jacket and Trisha is bundled up in a parka. Living in the south thins the blood. *nod*nod*
i love how the purple tights look so lovely with the white bike…makes me want to “fashion match” my bike more often!

I love your photo-stories, Dotty. And happy birthday, Trisha!
Your photos really capture the joy of the day! Belated happy birthday Trisha!
Dottie, do you edit the color at all in your photos or is that just 100% your camera work? Either way, excellent work! You are making me want to take more time with my photos now!
Thank you! Mostly camera work, but the lab doesn’t always scan the film right, so I often adjust a tad for temp and contrast. The pictures in this post are a mix of Fuji 400H Pro and Kodak Ektar 100 (the best ones being Ektar, in my opinion, such as the one of Trisha sitting down).
