I recently went with my mom to the flea market here in Nashville.
In an attempt to save money, I satisfied my urge to buy by taking pictures instead. It must have worked, because I somehow left the fairgrounds with only 3 vintage postcards. A couple of these finds were bike-related.

The Tip-Top Weekly highlights a daring tale of bicycle bravery
These poor old bikes were pretty beat up…good for lawn ornaments only, probably. But I still kind of wanted to rescue them.

I nearly bought those same bikes! I walked out with a chandelier to refinish and an old salvaged window for my wife to paint. But I thought those bikes would be really fun to clean up, paint, and hang on a wall or put somewhere intresting in my house. Alas, I couldn’t justify $80 for them.

That is too funny. I didn’t even ask the price, but yeah, $80 was a bit much.

Wow! They look like they’d be fun projects to restore (if you were so inclined), but it looks like a lot of work to get them operational.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. ;)
